Squatch Watch...what is it?

A Bigfoot Scavenger Hunt

The Round Lake Area Park District will be kicking off it's Summer Kid Series on Wednesday, June 7th with a new event called, Swatch Watch - Bigfoot Scavenger Hunt.

The Lowdown: Bigfoot has been spotted in the Sports Center Woods, and the park district is looking for junior sleuths to help them find the elusive beast. A number of clues will be hidden in the woods for children to find. The first twenty-five to find all clues will win a prize. If they're especially lucky, they might even catch a glimpse of Bigfoot, himself!

For ages 4 and up, this event is billed as kid-friendly and non-scary for the young ones. In addition, all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Since time will be spent outside in the woods, the park district suggests wearing long pants, bug spray and shoes that can get muddy. Kids may also bring flashlights and a digital recording device. Expect some suspicious-looking footprints, strategic grunting and even telltale tree knocking.
