Coroner IDs Teen Killed In Rollover Crash
The one-vehicle collision happened Wednesday night on Callahan Road just north of Old Rand Road.
LAKE COUNTY, IL — An 18-year-old Wauconda man killed in a rollover crash near Wauconda Wednesday night has been identified as Austin Voyles.
The collision happened at about 10:20 p.m. when a 2000 Jeep Wrangler traveling north on Callahan Road just north of Old Rand Road went off the road and drove onto a gravel shoulder, according to a news release from the Lake County Sheriff's Office. Authorities said the Jeep then slid into a ditch on the west side of the road.
The Jeep struck several large rocks, causing it to rollover, according to the news release.

Voyles was pronounced dead at the scene. Preliminary results from an autopsy show Voyles died from blunt force injuries as a result of a crash, according to a news release from the Lake County Coroner's Office.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
