Learn about the 125+ academic programs offered via evening/weekend/online study in Lake County by 20 Illinois colleges.

The University Center of Lake County will hold an Open House on Thursday, Oct. 27 from 6 - 8 pm at its Grayslake facility (1200 University Center Drive).  It will showcase the 125+ bachelor’s completion, graduate degree, and professional development programs available in Lake County from 20 Illinois colleges.  In one visit, participants can meet the Center’s new preadmission advisor Anani Moy, visit with program reps to ask questions about curriculum and admission, attend a presentation about juggling work and college, and maybe even win some cash.

Tim Panfil of Elmhurst College will present “Back-to-School Balancing Act” at 6:30 & 7 pm to provide advice on how adults can successfully add college classes to an already busy life.  WXLC will be broadcasting live from the Open House until 7:30 pm, so prospective students can stop by to meet an XLC radio personality and to try their hands at winning some immediate financial aid from the XLC cash machine.
