Warren-Waukegan FPD Abates Property Taxes
Taxing Body Returns Property Taxes to Homeowners

The Warren-Waukegan Fire Protection District passed a resolution on Wednesday, January 17th, 2018 to abate $300,000 in property taxes back to the local homeowners. "This is in response to the pleas for property tax relief from our neighbors", said President Phillip DeRuntz.
The WWFPD has the responsibility to provide the highest quality public safety services to over 24,000 citizens stretching from Green Bay Road to Rt. 45. "We do this while strategically funding our Reserves to prevent the need for a future Tax Referendum." stated President DeRuntz. This year the WWFPD was able to return, on average, $70 per household in property tax payments.
It may not seem like much, but it acknowledges that the Warren-Waukegan Fire Protection District Trustees are sensitive to the tax burden placed on homeowners in our community and that we strive to remain fiscally prudent as a professional public safety organization.
