WHAT ARE YOUR BIG IDEAS?

Give us your opinions about the future needs and priorities for our area.

Do you have something to say about the future needs and priorities for our area? On Thurs. June 23, 7:00pm in the Byron Colby Barn in Grayslake, area residents are requested to voice their ideas about our future. Liberty Prairie Foundation, the League of Women Voters of Lake County, and Livable Lake County are co-sponsoring a workshop called "On To 2050". The workshop, presented by the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP), is informative and interactive. Weigh in with your thoughts about transportation, housing, economic development, open space, the environment, or other quality-of-life issues for our area.

CMAP is the official comprehensive planning organization for the seven counties of the greater Chicago region. It has led almost 100 of these workshops throughout the Chicago region over the past several months. This is an opportunity for Lake County residents to be heard and provide input. For more information about CMAP, see their website http://www.cmap.illinois.gov/onto2050

Located at 1561 Jones Point Rd. in Grayslake, the Byron Colby Barn is a restored historic building inside the nationally recognized Prairie Crossing community. Doors open at 6:45 pm.
