GRAYSLAKE, Ill. – Building upon his recent legislative victory of passing one of the nation’s first of its kind anti-Heroin measures, state Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake is doubling down on his efforts to combat the drug epidemic in the suburbs. On Wednesday, Yingling met with a local substance abuse treatment provider to enlist their thoughts in the steps moving forward.
“While the new law I helped pass puts more overdose reversal medicines in our first responders hands, increases monitoring of prescription drug abuse, and creates more public awareness campaigns, we are far from finished.” Yingling said. “Meeting with local treatment providers helps my colleagues and I remain on offense in handling this problem that plagues our state.”

Yingling represents the 62nd District, which contains portions of Gages Lake, Grayslake, Gurnee, Hainesville, the Round Lake communities, Wauconda and Wildwood.
