GRAYSLAKE, Ill – State Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, is increasing his toy and winter clothing drive efforts by extending the length of time constituents can donate, and he is encouraging residents to drop new, unwrapped toys and winter clothing off at his district office.

“After collecting over a dozen toys at my recent Cider event, I decided that we will continue to accept donations at my full-time constituent office for the next couple of weeks,” Yingling said. “Many families in our area are still in need, and I hope that extending this drive will help some of our neighbors this holiday season. Hopefully, those who were unable to make it to my Cider event will be able to stop by and drop off their donations.”

Through December 17, residents are encouraged to stop by Yingling’s district office at 20 N Whitney Street, suite A, in Grayslake with their new, unwrapped toys and warm clothing. Yingling’s staff will be available to assist in the unloading and transport of the items, and his full time constituent service office is open 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

“As we continue to shop for the holidays this season, I ask that we all continue to keep those who have fallen on hard times in our thoughts and prayers and to consider purchasing a little something extra for those in need,” Yingling said.

Yingling represents the 62nd District, which contains portions of Gages Lake, Grayslake, Gurnee, Hainesville, the Round Lake communities, Wauconda and Wildwood.
