GRAYSLAKE, Ill. – State Rep. Sam Yingling, D- Grayslake, is announcing the winner of his Good Neighbor Business Award and presenting a local youth group with a resolution on September 14 in Third Lake. Yingling is honoring BBQ’D Productions and Lake County’s Youth Conservation Corps for the outstanding community service and relief efforts they provided to the victims of the August tornado that hit portions of Wildwood, Round Lake, Grayslake and Hainesville.
“I am extremely proud of BBQ’D Productions and the Youth Conservation Corps,” Yingling said. “Our community is eternally thankful for their efforts to help neighbors recover after this summer’s devastating tornado, and this business and group are truly highly valued assets in our community”
Yingling sponsored House Resolution 736 to spotlight the Youth Conservation Corps efforts to help clean up debris and assist with the recovery of Wildwood area. Additionally, Yingling is honoring BBQ’D Productions who generously provided food to people whose homes were damaged and to first responders. In between cooking and coordinating deliveries from his restaurant, BBQ’D Productions Owner, Kris Schoenberger also called out to area grocery stores to get more donations brought in.
