GRAYSlAKE, Ill. – In an effort to help prevent veterans’ suicide, state Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, and state Rep. Stephanie Kifowit, D-Oswego, are inviting veterans and their families to participate with members of the Task Force on Veterans’ Suicide in two meetings next Tuesday in Grayslake.
The meetings will be held on Tuesday, June 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the large conference room C003 of the C-Wing of the College of Lake County-Grayslake Campus, Grayslake, located at 19351 W. Washington Street, Grayslake, IL. Parking is available in lots 4, 5, and 6.
Kifowit and Yingling supported legislation creating a Task Force on Veteran Suicide. The task force has already met in Springfield, IL and Belleville, IL and are now meeting at locations across suburban Chicago to allow veterans and those affected by veterans’ suicide to personally share their views.
