GRAYSLAKE, Ill. – At a time when the future of our state’s institutions of higher learning and local schools remains disturbingly unknown, state Rep. Sam Yingling is inviting residents and academic professionals to join him for a Citizen Advisory Committee meeting on education later this month.

“This particular meeting is a part of my continuing effort to be accessible to the people I represent and to hear from the community about the issues facing our schools,” Yingling said. “The forum also provides an oppotunity to have some real, tough and sobering conversations about the situation our state finds itself in and to discuss the best path forward with those who are on the frontlines in our schools and colleges educating our children and young adults.”

Yingling is encouraging local professionals, as well as constituents with direct knowledge or interest within the particular field to join his advisory committees. Participants do not need to be an expert in the educational field. Yingling’s advisory committee will meet on March 22 at 10:00 a.m. in the Grayslake Library’s Meeting Rooms. Interested attendees can RSVP by contacting Yingling’s full time constituent service office by phone at 847-231-6262 or by email at RepSamYingling@gmail.com.

Yingling represents the 62nd District, which contains portions of Gages Lake, Grayslake, Hainesville, the Round Lake communities, Wauconda and Wildwood.
