GRAYSLAKE, Ill. – After the House overwhelmingly voted to override the governor’s veto of a major piece of anti- Heroin legislation, state Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, joined with local anti-drug and alcohol leaders to continue his ongoing efforts to combat Heroin. Yingling met with the Lake County Underage Drinking and Anti-Drug Task Force in his full time constituent service office in downtown Grayslake Friday.
“I am proud to have helped override the governor’s veto of the Heroin Crisis Act. We all have an important role to play in addressing and working toward the solutions of substance abuse,” Yingling said. “Meeting with community advocates, such as the Lake County Underage Drinking and Drug Prevention Task Force and supporting tough laws that punish drug dealers, while taking a compassionate approach toward people with addiction are all part of my continued work to rid our area of drugs and save lives.”
