GRAYSLAKE, Ill. –State Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, is reminding local residents to join his office and the office of the Illinois Attorney General for a free anti-fraud event May 14 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., at the Round Police Department’s community room on Town Line Road.
“As the weather increasingly gets better, our area tends to see a rise in suspicious solicitors going door-to-door in an effort to defraud unsuspecting people into providing them personal information or to gain entry into their homes,” Yingling said. “It’s vital that residents be educated on how to legally and responsibly fight these scammers, and I encourage everyone to join my office for this free event.”
Yingling is reminding constituents that he will be hosting a representative from the Attorney General’s office on Saturday, May 14 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Round Lake Police Department’s community room, located at 741 Town Line Rd., in Round Lake. The representative will give a presentation on the various ways people can protect themselves from fraud and identity theft and the top ten consumer complaints in the area. This event is free and open to the public. RSVPs are not necessary, but they are appreciated. To RSVP or for more information, please contact Yingling’s full time constituent service office by phone at 847-231-6262.
Yingling represents the 62nd District, which contains portions of Gages Lake, Grayslake, Hainesville, the Round Lake communities, Wauconda and Wildwood.
