GRAYSLAKE, Ill. - While residents around the state make their New Year’s resolutions, state Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, resolves to continue his active role in seeking the public’s input for new bill proposals in the new legislative year.

“Over the past year, I have knocked on thousands of doors, spoken with hundreds of people and hosted over a dozen events all aimed at helping my constituents express their thoughts and ideas in the legislative process,” Yingling said. “Continuing my extensive outreach in the next year is very important to me, and I continue to call on residents for their feedback on the ways we can improve our state for hard-working families, small businesses, seniors, children and veterans.”

With the 2016 Legislative Session soon underway, Yingling calls on the public to share their new policy proposals by reaching out to his full time constituent service office by phone or email. They are also encouraged to attend his various forums and seminars held throughout the 62nd District. His next forum will be at The Panera Bread, located at 254 E. Rollins Rd., in Round Lake Beach on Saturday, January 9 from 11 a.m. to Noon.

“Listening to people and encouraging them to share their ideas helps me keep track of our community’s needs,” Yingling said. “I always look forward to speaking with constituents across our district, and welcome all viewpoints and ideas in the conversations about how we can make our state better.”

Yingling represents the 62nd District, which contains portions of Gages Lake, Grayslake, Gurnee, Hainesville, the Round Lake communities, Wauconda and Wildwood.
