Yingling supports Chicago Schools, Hurts Us Locally

The Chicago Public School endorsement of Yingling is an outrage

On August 29, 2018, Karen Lewis, President of the Chicago Public School System sent out a letter to voters in District 62 (Grayslake, Round Lake(s), Wauconda, Gurnee, Lake Villa) telling us to vote for Sam Yingling? In her letter, she says, "Please join me in voting for Sam Yingling for State Representative....so we can invest in a world class education...and new economic development in our community."

Why would a resident and leader of Chicago mislead you to "join her" in voting for Yingling?

3 reasons to be outraged:

1. It means more money from the state for Chicago. She supports Yingling because he will vote to send more money to the Chicago schools which means less money for our schools and our children. When the president of the Chicago Public Schools is telling you Yingling will support a 'world class education' and 'new economic development' she doesn't mean it for you and me - Yingling's constituents. It's for her and her school and her community in Chicago. She helps Yingling get elected, he votes to send money from the state to Chicago.

2. More money for Chicago means less money from the state for our schools. And you know what that means: our property taxes will increase, again. When Sam tells you he's our "property tax cutting champion", don't believe it for a second. You cannot call yourself our representative when you vote against us and increase our tax burdens. To make it even worse, Yingling doesn't share our tax burden pain. He is paying less in property taxes today than he was six years ago (www.scamyingling.com).

3. Outside influence. Remember the Lake County Assessor bill Yingling sponsored that was vetoed last week? I wrote several articles on this site claiming it will lead to more outside political influence affecting us locally. This is case in point: a Chicago based resident and leader telling voters in Lake County how to vote for their professional and political gain. And Yingling takes their money and complies.

No more creatures of Chicago and Springfield working against us and our schools and our community while telling us he's our "champion". No more outside influence that costs me and you time and money. Please, no more Scam Yingling.
