GRAYSLAKE, Ill. – State Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, visited with Debi Leer, Director of Nicasa to discuss the ways to build on the momentum of Yingling’s successful, and omnibus anti-heroin law in the New Year. Yingling’s visit to Nicasa’s Round Lake facility also served to further learn about the important services and programs the facility provides Illinoisans and the critical need for the state’s continued support.

“Our area has benefited since the enactment of my Heroin Crises Act and our public safety officials began carrying life-saving drugs like Narcan,” Yingling said. “That said, our work is far from over. We must still work to spread awareness about the dangers of substance abuse, strengthen our law enforcement’s ability to go after drug dealers, and continue to work with all community partners.”
