3 BARRELS STUDIOS OPENS IN HIGHWOOD

3 Barrels Studio, a new creative art cooperative in Highwood, brings three artistic businesses together under one roof; Superhero for Hire, offering photo realistic comic drawing and portraiture, Hydra Electric Tattoo, the North Shore’s first & only licensed tattoo parlor specializing in large scale traditional tattooing in the American and Japanese styles, and The Midwest Art Initiative, a group of over 80 Midwest artists that host philanthropic art exhibitions.

Located inside the Highwood Metra Train Station at 317 Green Bay Road, 3 Barrels Studios is taking advantage of the City of Highwood’s initiative from July 2014 to provide start-up companies an affordable space to establish their new businesses. They hope to give back to the city by providing artwork for events, posters, logos, and more. Working to spread art to the city, they will have multiple art exhibitions annually all over Highwood.
