Bocce Battles at the 2nd annual 4-Man Highwood Bocce Club Invitational Tournament

The Highwood Bocce Club hosted it's 2nd annual 4-Man Highwood Bocce Club Invitational Tournament on February 23rd. Eight teams, which featured some of the best bocce players in the region, competed for $1700 in prize money. Each team played 7 matches in a round-robin format with the team of Nick Panarese, Lio Giannotti, Giuliano Petrucci & Tom Pignatari taking home a record of 6-1 and first place bragging rights. 

Tournament organizers Vince Crovetti, Jack Grandi, and Lenny Innocenzi were thrilled with both the turn-out as well as the extremely competitive play. Jack, chair of Club Tournaments, said "The Highwood Bocce Club hosts many different leagues, and this was a great way to showcase many of the best players across all of our membership."

The Highwood Bocce Club was established in 1969 and has been growing and improving ever since, giving generations of players the opportunity to enjoy the finest courts and equipment. The Club has hosted the U.S. National Championships, and were chosen to be the site of the first World Cup event ever held in America.
