Car Stolen From Central Ave.: Cops

The following information is from the Highland Park Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

AGGRAVATED BATTERY

Marisela Cruz-Lopez, 24, of the 400 block of Temple Avenue was arrested for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and domestic battery after police responded to a call for service in the 400 block of Temple Avenue at 12:18 a.m. on March 11.

RETAIL THEFT

Joshua J. Childers, 32, Demotte, Ind. was arrested for retail theft and disorderly conduct after police responded to a complaint in the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road at 4:43 p.m. on March 13.

SPEEDING 35+ MPH OVER THE SPEED LIMIT

Alena M. Henderson, 24, Lake Forest was arrested and charged with speeding 35+ MPH over the speed limit after police conducted a traffic stop in the 2700 block of Skokie Valley Road at 1:24 a.m. on March 14.

THEFT

On March 8, it was reported that an unknown subject(s) stole a gym bag containing clothes and other various items from a residence in the 1800 block of Northland Avenue on March 6.

THEFT

On March 8, it was reported that an unknown subject(s) stole a spare tire from a business in the 1300 block of Park Avenue West.

STOLEN VEHICLE

On March 9, it was reported that a female subject stole a vehicle from an individual in the 800 block of Central Avenue between 3-3:50 p.m. The vehicle was later located in the 1800 block of Second Street unoccupied. The owner of the vehicle reported that money was missing from the recovered vehicle.

THEFT

On March 11, it was reported that an unknown subject(s) stole money from a business in the 3100 block of Trail Way.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

On March 13, it was reported that an unknown subject(s) drove a vehicle through the lawn and left tire tracks in a park in the 600 block of Ridge Road.
