Celebrate Highwood Announces Nashwood 2018 Music Lineup

Featuring over 100 free, live music acts at over 20 venues throughout Downtown Highwood, August 24th-26th

Celebrate Highwood is excited to announce that the amazing live music lineup for their 2nd Annual Nashwood, Highwood’s newest and most awaited event of the season, is now available at www.celebratehighwood.org/nashwood. Over 100 free, live music acts will radiate throughout Downtown Highwood at over 20 venues, all weekend long August 24th to 26th. The public is invited to come enjoy a variety of Nashville-inspired food and drink specials, while strolling the City’s walkable streets listening to live country, bluegrass, jazz, gospel, blues and Southern rock music.

Music highlights include Grammy-nominated Robbie Fulks Band, seven-time Grammy-considered artist Derrick “Suede” Stout performing with the t u r n s t y l e s who have performed with every musical legend alive today, and legendary Rollover frontman Louie Zagoras. The West Side Winders, a band who has opened for countless big-name artists including Charlie Daniels and Bon Jovi, will be rounding out Nashwood on Sunday evening at the Toadstool Pub from 4-7 p.m.

Other notable acts include Growler, Tim Gleason Band, Nickel&Rose, Adam Yarger, Trailer Park Twisters, Jennifer Fletcher & the Reckoning, Brecken Miles, Tanqueray Mist, Strawdawg, John Ballantyne’s Crazy Heart, The Westerlees, Ronnie B. Elvis, a tribute to Elvis, and many more! The whirlwind weekend will also feature a Nashville-style Singer-Songwriter Roundtable hosted by Scott Balmoos from Highwood School of Rock on Saturday at Greenwood from 5-7 p.m.

There will be no cover charges for access to the music, although in Nashville fashion, tips are encouraged to directly support the bands and artists (*exception at 210 Live Saturday night for their main act, Robbie Fulks Band).
