Cop Injured During Highland Park Traffic Stop
Two people were charged in the early Sunday morning incident near Lake Cook and the Edens.

A Highland Park police officer was injured over the weekend during a traffic stop near Lake Cook Road and the Edens.
According to a police report, Olivia Dyer, 22, Calumet Park and Jadonne Giles, 26, Chicago were both arrested shortly after 5 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 29 for a number of offenses, including resisting a police officer. Giles was also charged with resisting arrest resulting in officer injury.
Dyer faces charges of driving under the influence, improper lane usage, speeding, resisting a police officer and open transportation of alcohol and was released. Giles was charged with obstructing a peace officer in addition to the resisting arrest charge and was transported to bond court pending a court date.

Police did not disclose any details about the officer’s injury.
