Driver Damages Police Station, Resists After DUI Arrest: Blotter

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following information comes from the Highland Park Police Department as a record of incidents reported to the police and of those arrested by police. INCIDENTS
THEFT
Someone stole an undisclosed amount of money from a donation box inside someone's vehicle parked at an auto repair shop in the 0-100 block of Skokie Valley Road.

ARRESTS/CITATIONS
Alan S. Rodriguez, 25, of the 1700 block of Deerfield Road in Highland Park was arrested at 1:52 a.m. on April 23 and charged with two counts of driving under the influence following a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Deerfield Road.

An employee of the Target in the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road was cited for retail theft at 7:50 p.m. on April 23, accused of under-ringing $115 worth of merchandise.
Jaquari Dodd, 23, of the 2500 block of 25th Street in North Chicago, was arrested at 12:53 a.m. on April 24 and charged with driving uner the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop at the intersection of Skokie Valley Road and Park Avenue. He was also cited for speeding operating an uninsured vehicle and illegally transporting alcohol.
Jessica Rosenberg, 26, of the 200 block of Oakmont Drive in Deerfield, was arrested at 1:27 a.m. on April 28 and charged with driving under the influence and a hit-and-run after police found her parked in the 100 block of Marquette Road about two minutes after receiving a call from state police that she had been involved in a traffic crash at the Lake Cook Road exit from the northbound Eden's Expressway and fled the scene.
Martin Rizo, Jr., 24, of the 39000 block of Ogden Lane in Beach Park, was arrested at 3:15 a.m. on April 28 and charged with driving under the influence, child endangerment, resisting arrest and misdemeanor criminal damage following a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road. He was also ticketed for improper lane usage. After he was taken to the station, police said he began to damage property and resisted police efforts to stop. He was released on his own recognizance. According to Lake County court records, he pleaded guilty last month to an amended count of reckless conduct was sentenced to a year of conditional discharge.
Christian Rangel, 22, of the 1700 block of Old Deerfield Road in Highland Park, was arrested at 2:30 p.m. on April 29 and charged with two counts of misdemeanor domestic battery after police were called to the 1000 block of Half Day Road for a report of a domestic dispute. He was ordered jailed in lieu of 10 percent of a $5,000 bond ahead of a May 2 court appearance.
