Drugs Taken From Pharmacies; Arrests After Burglary Call: Blotter
Highland Park Police Blotter: July 24 - Aug. 6

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following information comes from the Highland Park Police Department and court records as a record of incidents reported to the police and of those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt.
INCIDENTS
PHARMACY THEFTS
Staff at a pharmacy in the 1500 block of Clavey Road reported at 11:15 a.m. on July 26 that two unidentified people had stolen liquid medications. At 12:51 p.m., staff at another pharmacy in the 1600 block of Deerfield reported two people had stolen more liquid medications. Police believe it is the same pair. No descriptions or reported losses were provided.

STOLEN CAR
The manager of a business in the 1300 block of Park Avenue West reported at 5:27 p.m. on July 26 that an unidentified person had stolen to a vehicle belonging to the company.
GRAFFITI
A resident reported the discovery of graffiti in the area of Port Clinton Road and Walker Avenue on the afternoon of July 28. On the evening of July 29, a resident discovered graffiti on playground equipment in the 100 block of Pierce Road. It was not known when the defacement took place.

THEFTS
- Someone stole a television and digital tablet from a business in the 1300 block of Park Avenue West sometime prior to 12:48 p.m. on July 30.
- A representative of a business in the 100 block of Skokie Valley Road reported on the morning of Aug. 3 they had discovered the loss of some unspecified items during an asset inventory.
- An employee at a business in the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road reported on Aug. 3 at 11:19 a.m. that medications and perishable items worth about $74 had been stolen.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A resident in the 1600 block of Rosemary Road reported on the morning of Aug. 4 that someone had destroyed their chipmunk traps.
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
Kayla E. Jones, 25, of the 100 block of Hickory Avenue in Arlington Heights, was arrested at 2:09 a.m. on July 28 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration above 0.08 following a traffic stop at the intersection of Half Day Road and Summit Avenue. She was also ticketed for disregarding a stop sign.
Kenneth P. Eng, 32, of the 1600 block of Cedar Glen Drive in Libertyville, was arrested at 12:16 a.m. on July 30 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after police were called to the area of Skokie Valley Road and Half Day Road for a check of well-being. Officers found Eng’s vehicle stopped in a northbound lane of traffic. He was also cited for illegal stopping in the roadway.
Victor A. Rigoni, 31, of the 100 block of Westerfield Road in Grayslake, was arrested at 4:02 a.m. on July 30 following a traffic stop at the intersection of US 41 and Old Elm Road and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a revoked license. He was also ticketed for driving 15-20 mph over the speed limit.
David Rosmann, 35, of the 2600 block of Shirley Drive in Gurnee, and Matthew Maneck, 35, of the 500 block of Vine Avenue in Highland Park, were arrested at 3:46 p.m. on July 29 and charged with misdemeanor criminal trespassing to vehicles after police were called to a reported a car burglary in the 300 block of Ravine Drive. The caller provided a description and Rosmann and Maneck were later located around Ravine and Heather Drive.
A 67-year-old Lake Forest man was arrested at 12:29 p.m. on July 30 and charged with driving with a revoked license after officers saw him run a red light. He was also ticketed for disregarding a traffic control device.
