Drunk Driver Found Speeding In Construction Zone: Blotter
Pair of cars stolen, dresses snatched from unlocked car; woman charged with obstructing officers: Highland Park police blotter Sept. 9–15

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following information comes from the Highland Park and Highwood police departments and public records as a record of incidents reported to the police and of those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt.
INCIDENTS
THEFT
Someone stole a wallet from behind the counter of an unspecified business in the 400 block of Central Avenue during the afternoon of Sept. 9. No suspects were identified.

CAR BURGLARY
A burglar stole a pair of dresses worth $1,000 from an unlocked car in the 3100 block of Skokie Valley Road between 11 and 11:30 a.m. Sept. 11.
STOLEN CARS

- Someone stole a car between 10 and 11 a.m. Sept. 11 from the 1200 block of Old Skokie Road. It was not known if the vehicle was locked. It was tracked using GPS and found in Chicago within two hours of being stolen.
- A resident reported someone stole a car parked in the 1500 block of Old Skokie Road between the evening of Sept. 11 and the morning of Sept. 12.
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
Tenisha Ross, 31, of the 4800 block of Elm Street, Skokie, was arrested around 7:45 p.m. Sept. 10 and charged with possession of a controlled substance after officers found a single pill following a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Clavey Road where police pulled her over and learned she had a suspended or revoked license. Ross was also issued citations for speeding, possession of a small amount of marijuana and having an open container of alcohol in her car while driving.
Amy Pierce, 53, of the 1200 block of Cambridge Court, Highland Park, was arrested around 12:15 p.m. Sept. 12 and charged with obstructing a police officer after officers were called to a report of a dispute in her block of residence. Last month, police arrested Pierce twice in a week on disorderly conduct charges. She has arraignments scheduled on the earlier charges on Sept. 25 and Oct. 7.
Richard Vizcayno, 24, of the 300 block of Meadow Court, Vernon Hills, was arrested shortly after 3 a.m. Sept. 15 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 or more following a traffic stop at the intersection of Skokie Valley Road and Park Avenue. He was also issued citations for improper lane usage and speeding more than 35 mph above the limit in a construction zone.
