Highland Park 4th of July Fireworks: When and Where to Watch Them
This year's parade theme is a salute to WWII veterans as part of the 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Highland Park, IL—A variety of parades and a concert capped off by a fireworks display are all part of this year's Fourth of July celebration in Highland Park.
Fireworks are scheduled for 9:45 p.m. Monday, July 4, and are best viewed from Wolters Field, 1080 Park Ave West. Attendees can park at the field, Highland Park Hospital’s east lot or the Highland Park Country Club lots. City officials, however, are asking residents not to park along Route 41 and Park Avenue West during the display.

Children's Bike and Pet Parade
- When: 9:30 a.m.
- Where: Starts at Laurel and St. Johns avenues, heading north on St. Johns, then west on Central Avenue and continues to Sunset Woods Park, 1801 Sunset Road. Participants should meet at 9:15 a.m. at the lower level of the parking garage at the northwest corner of Laurel and St. Johns avenues.

Independence Day Parade
- When: 10 a.m., following the Children's Bike and Pet Parade.
- Where: Starts at Laurel and St. Johns avenues, heading north on St. Johns, then west on Central Avenue and continues to Sunset Woods Park, 1801 Sunset Road.
- What Else: This year's parade theme is A Salute to Our World War II Veterans in honor of the 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Fourth Fest
- When: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Where: Sunset Woods Park, 1801 Sunset Road
- What Else: The event features food vendors, musical performers, carnival rides, a petting zoo, pony rides, picnic games and other activities and attractions.

Free Concert
- When: 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
- Where: Wolters Field, 1080 Park Avenue West
- What Else: Features the finale concert to the 11th annual Bitter Jester Battle of the Bands.
