Friends For Health Raises $3,500 During 10-Year 10-Day Fundraiser

HIGHLAND PARK, IL –Friends for Health (FFH), a non-profit supporting preventative and educational programs at the North Shore Health Center (NSHC), raised more than $3,500 to support the Specialty Care Fund during it’s 10-year 10-day fundraiser at Beelow’s NorthShore Steakhouse and Live Online Auction from September 5- September 15. All proceeds will provide testing and consultations beyond the primary medical and dental care provided at NSHC. These services include colon cancer screenings, diagnostic testing, retinal screenings for diabetics, mammograms, ultrasounds, and oral surgery.

“We were thrilled with the participation of so many local businesses. It's wonderful to see how our community pulls together to support the work of the North Shore Health Center." says Holly Kerr, Chair of FFH.

To kickoff its 10-year 10-day celebration, the community was invited to Beelow’s NorthShore Steakhouse for ‘Cocktails for a Cause’ fundraiser to launch it’s live online auction and encouraged guests to dine and donate 15 percent of their dining bill to FFH. FFH, along with NSHC, for 10 years has focused on education and prevention as the best way to ensure that patients are able to live healthier lives. Thanks to grantors, donors, volunteers, and fundraisers like this one, FFH has been able to support programs at NSHC and will continue to do just that for many more years to come.
