ATTEMPTED COMMERCIAL BURGLARY The front glass door to a business in the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road was found damaged, likely by a rock, at 2:10 a.m. on Sept. 20. No apparent entry was gained to the business nor was anything reported as taken.CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY Graffiti in red marker was located on the walking path near the intersection of Johnston Drive and Overlook Road at 5:16 p.m. on Sept. 20. THEFT Sometime between Sunday, Sept. 18 and Friday, Sept. 23, a green metal Algoma hammock with white chains was found missing from a yard in the 3600 block of Leonard Wood East.RETAIL THEFT Police responded to a delayed report of a retail theft where on Sept. 23, an unknown subject entered a business in the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road, removed three Dyson stick vacuums, placed them in a cart and left the store without paying for the items.
