Highland Park Details Work Plan
City Work Plan Focuses on Core Priorities in 2015: Fiscal Stability, Infrastructure, Public Safety.

City Manager Ghida Neukirch outlined an aggressive 2015 work plan at the City Council meeting on Monday, February 9. The plan details more than 135 projects and initiatives to achieve innovative solutions that will achieve effective and efficient change. City employees embrace the City Council’s defined core priorities of public safety, fiscal stability and infrastructure. City staff and the City work together to carry out every initiative in an effort to best serve residents, businesses and visitors.
The defined projects include initiatives affecting the public, actions anticipated for City Council approval and other significant department initiatives. Key initiatives include implementation of the City’s branding, analysis of the Ravinia Fire Station relocation, emergency preparedness with sister governments, meter replacement and automated meter reading implementation, negotiations of new commercial and residential waste hauling agreements, among others.
“Our employees take great pride in their work in everything that they do. We strive to provide quality customer service and take a proactive approach in meeting the needs of residents, businesses and visitors,” Neukirch said. “We look forward to the progress in the year ahead and welcome public feedback.”
