HP Police Raise Nearly $1K For Kellogg Center for 'No Shave November'

All members of the department donated at least $20.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL - Members of the Highland Park Police Department participated in "No Shave November" this year, raising money for Highland Park Hospital's Kellogg Cancer Center Foundation.

Police Chief Paul Shafer waived the requirement of police officers to not have facial hair for the month in order for the department to take part in the initiative, which raised more than $900 this year.

"The Highland Park Police Department enjoys participating in No-Shave November,” Shafer said. “It is a fun tradition for our personnel and a wonderful way to raise cancer awareness and give back to our local community.”
