HP Resident to Bring Her 'One-Woman Show' To Highland Park Library
Kelly Haramis takes you through the ups and downs of international adoption in 'Double Happiness."

HIGHLAND PARK, IL - A Highland Park woman who has brought her inspirational tale of patience to big stages across the country will perform her one-woman show at home this month.
Kelly Haramis will present “Double Happiness: A Tale of Love, Loss and One Forever Family” at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 28 at the Highland Park Library.
Directed by David Knoell, Haramis passionately describes her years-long quest for a baby. It was a quest that touched the corners of the earth, but ended with a double surprise.

The former Chicago Tribune journalist describes the complications of modern infertility, the endless days of international adoption and the crushing depths of unexpected loss while introducing the audience to New York City in the 1950s and raucous parties at Penn State University.
Double Happiness debuted in Chicago with a four-night sell-out run at the former Studio Be in 2012, with subsequent performances in the region, Chicago Fringe Festival in 2015, St-Ambroise Montreal Fringe Festival in 2014, FRIGID New York 2014 and at the Orlando International Theatre Fringe Festival 2013.
