HPHS Swimmer Breaks His Brother's Record

Bragging rights in the Nathan family now go to younger brother Levy.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL - A Highland Park High School swimmer broke the school record in the 200-yard freestyle event during the Lake County Invitational last week at Stevenson. But it was whose record he broke that may have made this accomplishment a tad sweeter for Levy Nathan.

Nathan, a junior, swam the event in 1 minute, 43.86 seconds, according to the Highland Park News. The school record had previously been set by his brother, Reevan Nathan.

“I’ve been going for my brother’s record for three years,” Levy Nathan said. “So it’s awesome.”

Reevan, currently a student at Amherst College in Massachusetts, was naturally the first person Levy called after he knew for sure.
