HPHS Volunteers Pack Nearly 50,000 Meals In Less Than 2 Hours
Members of the Rotary Impact club at Highland Park High School Saturday packed enough meals for 130 kids to eat for an entire year.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — Volunteers from Highland Park High School packed enough meals to feed more than 130 children for a year as the Rotary Impact club brought more than 100 volunteers to Libertyville to work with Feed My Starving Children, a Christian nonprofit organization based in Minnesota.
In less than two hours on Saturday, volunteers from HPHS packaged 49,680 meals – enough to provide a year's worth of meals for 135 kids, according to a release. The community service club is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Highland Park and Highwood. The club meets weekly and organizes at least one service project a month with the support of the Rotary Club, according to District 113.
