• Highland Park teacher charged with domestic abuse resigns: 'The school board lost its mission' (chicagotribune.com) — Township High School District 113 has accepted the resignation of a longtime Highland Park teacher who was recently charged with domestic battery, ending the district's internal investigation with no public findings. The teacher had already been on administrative leave, and a prominent community member is now sharply criticizing the board's handling of earlier complaints and its duty to protect students.
   

• Alison Krauss Cancels Upcoming Tour Dates with Union Station After Doctors Recommend Vocal Rest (people.com) — If you were planning to see Alison Krauss & Union Station in Highland Park, that show and 16 others on their Arcadia Tour have been canceled after doctors ordered Krauss to rest her voice. The band says health must come first and promises full ticket refunds while expressing hope of returning to these cities in the future.
