Infrastructure Work on Deerfield Road Begins This Summer
Full resurfacing in both Deerfield and Highland Park will take place in 2016.

Infrastructure replacement on Deerfield Road will begin this summer, one year ahead of the massive overhaul planned for the road in both Deerfield and Highland Park.
By the time the project concludes, work will have been completed from the downtown railroad underpass in Deerfield to the east side of the bridge crossing Highway 41 in Highland Park, the Deerfield Review reports.
This summer, Commonwealth Edison will be replacing poles — mainly in Deerfield — and AT&T will be installing new cables.

The total cost of the project is $17.1 million, but some of that has been covered by grants and ComEd and AT&T are paying for their portions of the project.
Delays for the infrastructure replacement are expected to begin in June.
