Highland Park man faces felony unlawful restraint, battery charges; burglars strike seemingly unlocked home: Highland Park Police Blotter

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following information comes from the Highland Park and Highwood police departments and public records as a record of incidents reported to the police and of those arrested by police. INCIDENTS
HOME BURGLARY
A resident in the 1200 block of Forest Avenue reported someone burglarized their home between about 8 and 9 p.m. on April 3. A cellphone and medication were reported missing, and there was no sign anyone had forced their way in.
THEFT
Someone stole multiple pieces of jewelry from Highland Park Hospital, police were told around 2:30 p.m. on April 3.

ARRESTS/CITATIONS
Michael Sandow, 25, of the 500 block of Michigan Avenue, Highland Park, was arrested around 10:30 p.m. on April 11 and charged with aggravated domestic battery and unlawful restraint, both felonies, after police were called to his residence. After a bond hearing Monday, he posted the $1,000 cash portion of his bond and was released from custody ahead of his next court appearance on June 6. No attorney information was immediately available.
