UPDATE: All Lanes Clear on the Edens Near Lake Avenue

UPDATE 5:15 p.m. - All lanes are clear on the Edens.

Massive delays have begun on the Edens Expressway in both directions as crews are inspecting the Lake Avenue bridge in Wilmette after concrete fell on the roadway below.

WGN Skycam provided video of the delays, which appear to affect northbound commuters mostly. Traffic is down to one lane in both directions.

According to ABC, a truck carrying an over-size load on Lake Ave. hit the bridge and caused the concrete to fall. The bridge was not closed.
