Medical Marijuana Patients Under 18 Must Get Signatures from 2 Doctors
Roadblock is one of list of emergency rules regarding how state's program will extend to children.

Emergency rules regarding how the state’s medical marijuana program will be extended to children have been posted by Illinois health officials, Crain’s Chicago Business reported Tuesday.
Going into effect on January 1, those under 18 will need to obtain signatures from two doctors and will only apply to the new law if they meet certain health conditions.
The annual fee for a patient younger than 18 to obtain medical marijuana care will be $100 and will include a caregiver’s fee. That’s slightly less than the fees for an adult patient who needs a caregiver to purchase medical marijuana, Crain’s reported. Adult patients pay both a $100 patient fee and a $25 caregiver fee.
