NAACP Honors Dold for Community Service

The 10th District Congressman was recognized for his service to Lake County with the 'Distinguished Community Service Award.'

Illinois 10th District U.S. Congressman Robert Dold, R-Kenilworth was recognized by the Lake County NAACP recently as a recipient of the Distinguished Community Service Award.

The congressman was recognized for his service to Lake County during an awards ceremony on November 13 in Wadsworth.

“It is a true honor to be recognized with the Lake County NAACP’s Distinguished Community Service Award,” said Dold, who is in his second, non-consecutive term as the 10th District’s representative. “Working together, we can continue to strengthen Lake County communities through education, jobs, housing and dedication to the overall improvement of people’s lives.”

According to a news release on the award, recipients were honored for making a significant and lasting impact in the communities’ advancement through their professional accomplishments and contributions, earning the respect and admiration of their professional colleagues and serving the Lake County Community over an extended period of time.
