'No' Vote Would Substantially Diminish Children's Education: Letter
Benefits of referendum passage include full-day kindergarten, robust extracurricular programs.

The following letter was written and submitted by Terri and Rob Olian.
The. Time. Is. Now. To move District 112 forward. To what ends? Long-term financial stability. Full day kindergarten. Equitable access to quality extracurricular programs for all students. Supporting our teachers by backing a plan they endorse. Instructional opportunities fifth graders are ready for. Properly repairing and renovating our schools; eliminating band-aids. Providing all children in 112 with the same opportunities for inclusivity. ADA-compliant and fully accessible schools. Consistency in the delivery of instruction across the district. Safe, sound, well-configured buildings. Buildings with the infrastructure needed to support today’s technology as well as new technology and initiatives in education. Operational efficiencies.
The. Time. Is. Now. To vote yes on a referendum that will allow the district to move forward with a plan that will achieve these ends. To recognize that perfection is the enemy of the good. To understand that a “no” vote doesn’t maintain the status quo, but instead substantially diminishes our children’s education.

The proposed reconfiguration plan is financially, educationally, and technologically sound. Facts and research, gathered, studied, and evaluated over the past 6 years, support it. To learn more, go to 112information.org and moving112forward.com.
To do right by the children in District 112, vote yes for the referendum.
