Featured Obituary:

Maureen "Mo" Beucher, of Glenview, lived her 56 years with so much vim & vigor. She was born and raised in the Chicago area with seven brothers and a sister. She attended St Joseph’s grammar school and graduated from Regina Dominican High School in Wilmette, Illinois in 1979.

She was introduced to her one true love, Ed Beucher by a mutual friend in 1975. They dated for 6 years before they married in 1981. They bought a home in Glenview where they raised two children, Colin (32) and Kelly (29). Mo was an avid sports nut so when her kids were getting involved in sports she jumped in by becoming a baseball and softball coach, and soccer referee.

Maureen had a deep passion for animals; she spent 40 years working in the veterinary field. She was lucky enough to work her way up to an unusual title as the hospitality manager at Premier Veterinary Group. She bred Standard Poodles for a number of years. She raised her children along side a mini zoo in their house, and it was not unusual to find 3-5 dogs in the yard that she was dog sitting.

One of the biggest goals on her bucket list was to see the Cubs win a World Series and of course this so happened to be the ONE year she did not make it to a single game. She was truly a diehard Cubs fan.

In 2010 the most important goal on her bucket list was reached when she became a grandma. She was very blessed with her amazing grandson Bentley (6) who gave her lots of love, strength and happiness.

In 2016 Maureen was diagnosed with lung cancer, which she fought with fierce determination with the help and love from all her family and friends. If Mo was able to, we know she would want to thank everyone for all of the continued love and support shown to her and her family.

Maureen was the beloved wife of Edward F. Beucher, Jr., loving mother of Colin and Kelly Beucher, proud grandmother of Bentley, cherished daughter of the late Frank and Helen Collins nee O’Day, dear sister of Kevin (Cathy), Danny (Nancy), the late Tim (Mary), Barry (Anne), Mary, Patrick, Brian, and Michael (Natalia) Collins, fond sister-in-law of Janice (the late Steve) Griffith, Gregory Beucher, Terri (Hugh) Hollister, Beverly, George (Juli) and Trish Beucher and a caring aunt and great-aunt to many.
