North Shore School District 112 Calendar 2019-20: First Day, More
Mark down these important dates on the calendar for Highland Park, Highwood and Fort Sheridan's public primary schools.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The first day of school in North Shore School District 112 is Aug. 19 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The public school district has released its full 2019-20 calendar, which is available online in printable form.
The calendar includes important dates, such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.
This year, there are changes to the schedule for early release days due to a new Illinois law, Senate Bill 28, mandating that any instructional school day must be at least five hours long. The NSSD112 early release schedule will be: 7:55 a.m. - 12:55 p.m for middle schools, 8:40 a.m. - 1:40 p.m. for elementary schools, with the exceptions of 8:36 a.m.-1:36 p.m for Sherwood and 8:44 a.m.-1:44 p.m. for Red Oak.
