“I like to teach kids skills that they can transfer to their lives after music education is done for them,” Campbell said. “Playing instruments, learning songs by ear - things that they can use later in life.”
“I like to inspire kids to do new things that are outside their comfort zone. Making music should be a fun and rewarding experience that teaches kids to persevere and work towards a collective goal,” he added.
Campbell and the other Golden Apple finalists from across the Chicagoland area will be honored at A Celebration of Excellence on April 11.
