Reconfiguration 2.0 Presents Final Report In D-112
The final report from Reconfiguration 2.0 Community Team recommends three school closure options.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — After more than a year of meetings and studies, the Reconfiguration 2.0 Community Team presented its final report to the District 112 board meeting last week. The committee recommended three different options for rearranging schools in the district.
Two of the recommended plans (B and D) involve keeping eight buildings open, one anticipates nine buildings.

At a July 18 meeting, several D-112 board members favored looking into shutting down one middle school (probably Lincoln) as well as a middle school (probably Elm Place), after next school year, according to Highland Park News.
At the same meeting, Daily North Shore reported board members unanimously approved hiring the employee search firm Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates (HYA) to help the board find the next D-112 superintendent despite "some community concerns with hiring HYA due to a recent superintendent search in the community."
