Reconfiguration 2.0 Survey Results Released

Survey says a majority of NSSD112 residents support a $150 million referendum.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The results of the Reconfiguration 2.0 panel's survey of residents of North Shore School District 112 were released April 17. The randomized poll, exploring opinions on school closing, curriculum and a potential future referendum, was conducted between March 10 and April 6 by aQity Research and Insights, an Evanston-based market research firm.

The survey tested the public appetite for three sizes of a potential bond issue. At the $75 million and $100 million level, there was at least two-thirds support (69 percent and 66 percent, respectively.) Opinion was more divided at the $150 million level, with respondents split 56-44, although aQity noted there was more “strong” opponents (31 percent) than “strong” supporters (28 percent) for the $150 million referendum.
