Registered Sex Offender Arrested At High School: Blotter
Wisconsin woman arrested on suspicion of DUI while her passenger faces drug charges: Highland Park police blotter, Nov. 13 to Nov. 19.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following information comes from the Highland Park and Highwood police departments and court records as a record of incidents reported to the police and of those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt.
INCIDENTS
BURGLARY ATTEMPT
A resident in the 1400 block of Lincoln Place reported around 8 a.m. on Nov. 13 that someone had tried to get into their locked vehicle and removed a window screen to their basement. There was no sign anyone managed to force entry to the home or car.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A resident reported around 9:45 a.m. on Nov. 13 that someone had keyed their vehicle while it was parked in the 700 block of Park Avenue West.

HOME BURGLARY
A resident in the 1700 block of First Street reported on the afternoon of Nov. 13 that someone had stolen multiple items with unspecified values while the home's occupants were away on vacation.
ARRESTS
Anthony Tomei, 41, of the 21000 block of Lynn Road, Lombard, was arrested around 2 p.m. on Nov. 16 and charged with prohibited presence within a school zone by a child sex offender when he was checked by security in the area of Highland Park High School. (He was convicted in 2008 of a third or subsequent charge of public indecency involving a 15-year-old, according to state records.)

James Dittmer, 32, of the 300 block of Virginian Avenue, Wheeling, was arrested around 1 a.m. on Nov. 17 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop in the area of Skokie Valley Road and Park Avenue. He was also cited for improper lane usage and speeding 26 to 34 mph above the limit.
Natalie Stublanski, 23, of Union Grove, Wisconsin, was arrested shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Nov. 17 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop at the intersection of Skokie Valley Road and Park Avenue. She was also cited for improper lane usage, and her passenger, Brittany Zaremba, 21, of the 1000 block of Romayne Avenue, Racine, Wisconsin, was also arrested. Zaremba was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance, including one count of possession of between 15 and 100 grams of heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was also issued a citation for possession of a small amount of cannabis.
Ariel Gilmore, 26, of the 1800 block of 20th Street, North Chicago, was arrested around 2:45 a.m. on Nov. 18 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop in the area of Skokie Valley and Half Day roads. Gilmore was also issued citations for driving an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding 26 to 34 mph above the limit.
Daniel Beedle, 18, of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, was arrested around 2:45 a.m. on Nov. 19 and charged with criminal trespassing to a residence, attempted criminal trespassing to property and underage drinking after police were called to a report of an unknown man sitting in a bathroom in a home in the 3000 block of Summit Avenue. The family that lived at the home had never met Beedle before.
