Wilmette Man Facing Prescription Drug Charges Surrenders: Blotter

More than $4,000 stolen in home break-in, 2 arrests for drunk driving on the Highland Park police blotter for Nov. 5 to Nov. 12.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following information comes from the Highland Park police departments and court records as a record of incidents reported to the police and of those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt.

INCIDENTS

CAR BURGLARY

  • A resident in the 500 block of Hill Street reported on the morning of Nov. 6 that someone had gotten into their unlocked car during the prior overnight hours. Nothing of value was reported missing at the time of the report.
  • On the afternoon of Nov. 6, another resident in the 500 block of Hill Street reported than a laptop and debit card were stolen from inside an unlocked car during the previous night. The resident said thieves had rummaged through two vehicles but only stolen valuables from one of them.

HOME BURGLARY
A resident in the 2900 block of Parkside Avenue reported shortly after 11 p.m. on Nov. 6 that someone had broke into their home and stolen more than $4,000 worth of items. Officers determined the break-in took placed during the daytime or early evening.

THEFT
An employee of a business in the 600 block of Elm Place reported around 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 7 that an unidentified person stole about $11 worth of alcohol.

ARRESTS

Jonathan Ward, 25, of the 200 block of Millbrook Lane, Wilmette, turned himself in to the Highland Park Police Department around 12:45 p.m. on Nov. 12 in connection with a warrant for charges of unlawful acquisition of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a prescription form.

Abigail Monsalud, 24, of the 200 block of South Kyle Street, Waukegan, was arrested around 10:45 p.m. on Nov. 10 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop at the intersection of Skokie Valley Road and Half Day Road.

Zoran Stojakovic, 57, of the 1200 block of Ballantrae Place, Mundelein, was arrested around 12:15 a.m. on Nov. 12 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 or above. He was also ticketed for speeding.
