Running and Cycling Shop Will Close After 30 Years in Business

Running Right/Alberto's Cycles in Highland Park will be shutting down at the end of July.

Highland Park, IL—A local running and cycling shop that has been in business for 30 years will shut its doors at the end of the month.

Bill Moss, owner of Running Right/Albetro's Cycles, announced in a July 6 update on his Facebook page that he was closing his shop, 661 Central Ave.:

"My kids are finished with college and this seems like the appropriate time to step away and try my hand at something else. The store will be closing at the end of July and until then we will be selling everything that isn’t nailed down."

Moss opened Running Right in 1986 when he was 27 years old in an effort to create a running shop that "was well organized, had all the latest running gear, exceptional sales help and was a fun place to hang out." He later bought Alberto's Cycling in 2002 and combined the two retail ventures.
