Blown-Out Tires Lead To Hinsdale DUI Arrest: Cops

The suspect refused to be tested for his blood-alcohol content, authorities said.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the reports:

DUI

  • A 61-year-old Naperville man was arrested about 2 a.m. Friday in the 700 block of North County Line Road on charges of DUI, driving with unsafe tires and disobeying a stop sign. The man had two blown-out tires. He refused testing to determine his blood alcohol content. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

Warrant

  • A 26-year-old Chicago man was arrested on a Cook County warrant about 4 p.m. Saturday at Shell gas station, 210 E. Ogden Ave. The charges weren't local. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Hacked

  • Someone hacked the social media account of a Hinsdale resident and posted a car for sale. The resident contacted the suspect and sent $500 through online banking as a deposit for the car. The case is pending

Vandalism

  • Christmas decorations valued at $540 were damaged between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. Saturday in a front yard in the 600 block of North Washington Street. The vandalism was reported two days later.
