• Hinsdale D86 Admin Cost Hike Exceeds State Limit (patch.com) — Hinsdale High School District 86 plans to seek a state waiver so it can raise administrative costs by 7 percent this year, above Illinois' 5 percent cap. While per-student administrative spending in Hinsdale remains relatively low versus nearby districts, the board's Tuesday vote on the waiver could influence how more local dollars are allocated to central office functions.
   

• Hinsdale D86 Wants To Borrow $82M, Tax Hike Expected (patch.com) — Hinsdale High School District 86 is considering borrowing $82 million, which would raise property taxes for the median local homeowner by about $83 next year and more each year after. Much of the money would fund life-safety projects, including a $17 million heating plant replacement at Hinsdale Central, with a key public hearing and board vote set for Tuesday night at the school library.
