Car Stolen From Hinsdale Car Dealership: Cops

The theft wasn't reported for more than a week, police said.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the latest reports:

Car theft

  • A 2022 Ford Edge was stolen about 2:30 a.m. Jan. 25 in the used car lot at Land Rover Hinsdale, 336 E. Ogden Ave. The theft was reported Feb. 2, more than a week later.

  • Michael Montefinese, 58, of Downers Grove, was cited about 2:30 p.m. Friday at McDonald's, 935 N. York Road, on a charge of failure to remain at the scene of a vehicle damage accident. Police said Montefinese hit a woman's car in the drive-thru and left the area. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

DUI

  • Esteban P. Hernandez, 33, of Willowbrook, was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Sunday at 55th Street and Holmes Avenue on charges of DUI and speeding. He submitted to testing that indicated he was over the legal limit. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

  • A resident in the 400 block of West 58th Place told police Thursday that someone used the resident's identity to open a bank account.
