Cardboard Boat Regatta at the Lions Park Pool!
Come Sail Away With the Clarendon Hills Park District on August 8

The Clarendon Hills Park District will set sail with its Second Annual Cardboard Boat Regatta on Saturday, August 8 at the Lions Park Pool, 100 Byrd Court.
Teams of up to five members are invited to create their very own sailing vessels. The only rule of the contest is that all boats must be constructed using only cardboard and duct tape.
Check-in will begin at 8:15 a.m. on the day of the event, with races set to begin at 9 a.m. in the Lions Park lap pool. Two person crews will navigate their boats through an obstacle course - this will be a timed event. All crew members must know how to swim or needs to be properly fitted with a U.S. Coast Guard approved life jacket. There is a $20.00 entrance fee for each boat.

Advance registration is required at the Clarendon Hills Park District, 315 E. Chicago Avenue, no later than August 3. All hungry boaters will be treated to a continental breakfast on the day of the event. Come sail away with the Clarendon Hills Park District!
